Marketing!

BUDGET - $100,000,000
- Spring 2010
#Viral marketing commenced on the film.
- June 2nd 2010
# A manual was sent to various companies filled with bizarre images and words which are linked with 'Inception'.
- During June 2010
# Viral Marketing began to become more noticeable as more common things came out. Such as Posters, Adverts, Phone Applications, Websites.
In order to market 'Inception' successfully, Warner Bros being their distributor has to think of a clever way of doing this. Therefore they created a Facebook page which published all the new updates on the release of the DVD, Photo Apps, Images of the actors etc.
On the release of the facebook page, they had to release other elements to follow this, therefore they created a Phone App which could be downloaded. They cleverly created an app to link with the concept of making your dreams a reality by changing the perception of reality.
Prior to releasing the film they had to create official and teaser posters and trailers to create the awareness within the audience to the upcoming release of 'Inception'.

Whilst also creating posters and trailers, Warner Bros had to produce an official website where audience members could access into wallpapers, the storyline, images etc.

Rating!

Rated Pg-13 Clip Art
Inception was rated PG-13

Why? Looking on the Motion Picture Association of America, I investigated why this film was a PG-13.
Briefly they explain their reasons..
"A PG-13 motion picture may go beyond the PG rating in theme, violence, nudity, sensuality, language, adult activities or other elements, but does not reach the restricted R category. The theme of the motion picture by itself will not result in a rating greater than PG-13, although depictions of activities related to a mature theme may result in a restricted rating for the motion picture. Any drug use will initially require at least a PG-13 rating."
From being a person that has watched the film, I agree strongly that the film has been rated correctly, as the film does consist of some sense of violence, language and nudity.
